Empowering Women and Uplifting Communities: Women’s Degree College
Our parent company, Azim Group, purchased the land in the 1990s where the land sits today and constructed this women’s college to promote educational opportunities for women in rural Bangladesh. Mohila means women in Bengali, and MF Azim Mohila College was established at a time when there were few opportunities for women compared to today.
Engineer MF Azim Women’s College is aligned with our company’s mission to empower women from rural communities and beyond with educational opportunities to advance their lives. Increased opportunities for women in Bangladesh have helped our garment industry to become the second largest in the world with women being the key drivers of growth.
With over 80% labor participation in our industry accounting for women, we now envision of filling up our new management positions with capable women leaders by creating equitable opportunities. As a result, we make our best efforts to support MF Azim Women’s College along with other community colleges for women to develop skilled leaders of the future.
